Unlike a wedding, which can be revisited through anniversary getaways or vow renewals, the birth of your child is a singular moment—an unrepeatable threshold between before and after. Golden Hour Sessions are the perfect little sister to birth photography.
Let's be honest, birth photography (while I wish it was) is not for everyone, and sometimes circumstance have a say in that. These sessions begin to capture the time immediately following baby's birth, usually about 1 hour after. It lasts 2-4 hours and aims to deliver around 75-100+ images depending on when you call me in.
This is different than birth photography because it does not capture the labor or delivery, the moments start with baby being weighed, measured, and spending time with Mom & Dad, rather than the complete story leading up to birth.
As your photographer, I will go on call for your Golden Hour session from 37 weeks until the birth of your baby to ensure that I am ready and able to get there as soon as you request me to.

The moment everything changed and you met your baby for the first time. I’m not here to direct or interrupt—I’m there to witness. To hold space. To document the sacred unfolding of your story exactly as it happens.
These images are for years from now, when your baby is grown and you want to remember how strong you were, how loved you felt, how holy that day really was.

It's planned for. The one constant about birth is the inevitable, unexpected.
I work hard to cultivate relationships with hospital staff. I want us to work together and be the fluid team that helps you during your birth. Whether that requires a change of pace on a small level, or a much larger level–you can take comfort in knowing that your birth team and I are not enemies, and we are working together to serve and support you to the best of our abilities.
I have gained OR access and I am proud of that. Not because I said the right things, or nagged until I got in, but because I have worked to grow that trust with staff because I know it is important. I know it is for the good of my clients.

Amie showed up around 4am and stayed until after noon!
